2012 10 03 - The concert tour "Tribute to Tina Turner" is being started

We can already name the performer Rūta Ščiogolevaitė , constantly figuring in the epicentre of show world, as a professional critic of talents in television projects, a gifted dancer, a singer acknowledged in an international extent, therefore the time has come for a new challenge. It is time to connect all abilities into one show - a dynamic, energetic music charge.

Thus, together with innovative and talented musicians, with the group of Paulius Zdanavičius, there was a project born “Tribute to Tina Turner".

“I am a real idolatress of Tina Turner - as a singer as well as a woman. She is inspiring, and her songs cover a whole music epoch. I can’t describe in words how it was pleasant to arrange this musical programme both for me and all musicians. I hope that the listeners would be also pleased to hear and see our show as we are pleased to present the songs of this legendary performer“ – says Rūta.

Waiting for almost unreal possibility of attaining Tina Turner having concerts in Lithuania, Rūta Ščiogolevaitė invites all admirers of T. Turner to hear live songs from the repertoire of this famous American singer, collected during whole decades of heady career, which only several singers in the whole world can brag for. Songs, earning Tina the fame, also those which persisted in the tops for years. Rūta: “I myself am a great admirer of T. Turner. As the singer’s as well as the woman’s. She is inspiring, and her songs cover a whole music epoch. Sole pleasure was to arrange this programme for both me and all musicians. It's a great pleasure to perform her songs! We hope that one will feel the same listening to them!“

The group is formed of one of the best musicians in Lithuania, among them – a famous pianist of the young generation Paulius Zdanavičius, communicating with R. Ščiogolevaitė for many years already and helping to arrange the newest album by Rūta “Tai-gyvenimas“ (“This is life”). “Live“ instruments, obeying wonderful musicians, unexpected sound of Rūta Ščiogolevaitė, rock and ballads... Tina Turner project!

2012 03 14 - Paulius Zdanavičius arranged new album of Rūta Ščiogolevaitė

The album is non-commercial, perhaps there aren’t any hits in it and the sound is old-fashioned. This was said by R. Ščiogolevaitė while presenting her album “This is life” (Lithuanian “Tai – gyvenimas”, recorded after the five-year-break. This time she was totally right.

If you are not a friend of Rūta, you can so far get the songs from “This is life” only in MP3 file format – to download on the Internet for free. Ten songs with a cover, on which there is no surname of the performer – as she says herself, she didn’t want to torture the listeners who find it difficult to pronounce her surname.
